# Creator Royalty Terms

Last updated 2026-10-23 · Version 2026-10-23

The agreement between BlinkFix and the people who publish recipes, reels and stories on BlinkFix, or whom BlinkFix names as the inventor of a feature.

The short version

  • You earn 20% of what an advertising shop pays BlinkFix for the clicks made when someone shops through your recipe, reel or story and the order is finished: 20p for every £1.
  • Your share is pending for 14 days. If the order is not refunded, complained about or charged back in that time, it becomes available. After that it is final.
  • Available money goes to your BlinkFix Wallet. You pay it out to your own payout account, once a day.
  • If BlinkFix names you the inventor of a feature, you earn a percentage (0% to 20%) of what BlinkFix earns from that feature each month. Section 12 has the rules.
  • Nothing is guaranteed.

1. Who the parties are

1.1 These terms are an agreement between BlinkFix Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 13505930), registered office 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom ("BlinkFix", "we", "us"), and the person who publishes a recipe, a reel or a story on BlinkFix, or whom BlinkFix names as the inventor of a feature ("you", the "Creator"; in section 12 the "Inventor").

1.2 If you publish a recipe for an establishment you run (a restaurant, food truck, local cook or shop on BlinkFix), the establishment is the Creator for that recipe, you confirm you can bind it, and its share goes to the establishment's wallet, not your personal one.

1.3 Accepting. You accept by tapping Accept in the BlinkFix app or on blinkfix.me when we ask: at your next sign-in, or before you publish for the first time after these terms take effect. We record the version, date and time. Your tap is your electronic signature under UK and EU electronic-signature law, the US ESIGN Act and UAE electronic-transactions law, and neither side may dispute it because it was electronic.

1.4 These terms add detail to section 8 of the Terms of Service and to "Recipe creator earnings" in the Community Guidelines. The Privacy Policy also applies, and the Merchant Terms apply to any establishment you run. About what you earn, these terms win.

1.5 You must be 18 or older. English is the binding language.

1.6 Who each part is for. Sections 3 to 7 are for a Creator who publishes a recipe, a reel or a story. Section 12 is for an Inventor. A person can be both. Sections 1, 2, 8 to 11, 13 and 14 apply to everyone, and 7.5 applies to an Inventor too.

2. Definitions

  • Inventor: a person whom BlinkFix names as the inventor of a feature, with a percentage (section 12). Feature: a part of BlinkFix that earns BlinkFix money and that BlinkFix keeps as one income line in its accounts, such as a plan, a licence or the service fee on orders.
  • Shop: an establishment on BlinkFix that sells groceries or other products and pays to advertise.
  • Shopping: one signed-in person's visit to a shop opened from your recipe ("Buy ingredients", or a shopping list made from it), reel or story. It ends when its order is placed.
  • Click: what the shop's advert counts during a shopping (4.2).
  • Finished order: the order from a shopping, once complete (handed over or delivered).
  • Share: the part of the shop's advertising charge that you earn. It is pending or available (section 5).
  • Wallet: where BlinkFix holds your available money until you pay it out.
  • Payout account: the Stripe account you connect in your own name.

3. What BlinkFix provides

3.1 BlinkFix publishes your content, matches your recipe's ingredients to nearby shops that advertise, counts clicks, charges the shops, works out your share, holds it for 14 days and credits it to your Wallet. The app shows what is pending and available, per recipe.

3.2 The shop sells the groceries, not BlinkFix (section 3 of the Terms of Service).

3.3 BlinkFix does not promise that a shop will advertise, that anyone will use your recipe, or that you will earn anything. We do not give you the names or details of the people who buy.

4. What you earn

4.1 Your share. You earn 20% of what the shop paid for the clicks of a shopping through your recipe: 20p for every £1.

4.2 When a click counts.

  • Entering a shop is 1 click. Coming back into the same shop during the same shopping is free.
  • Each product type added through your recipe is 1 click. One tomato or 100 is 1; two kinds are 2.
  • Nothing is counted twice in one shopping. The same person, recipe and shop after their order, or on a later day, is a new shopping and counts again.

4.3 When you earn. The shop is charged, and you earn, only when the order is finished and only if the shop's advertising budget could pay for the click. Watching a recipe, reel or story earns nothing. A share is credited only if your recipe still exists when the order is finished.

4.4 Fixed when the shop is charged. Your share of a click is 20% of the pound price the shop paid for it then. A later change to the click price or the percentage never changes a click already charged.

4.5 What does not count. You earn nothing from your own purchases, from purchases by the people of the establishment the recipe belongs to, from a shop's own owner and staff, from people who are not signed in, or from a shop that does not advertise. Clicks or orders that are faked, made by you or for you, or otherwise abusive earn nothing, and we cancel the share on them while it is pending.

4.6 Only advertising shops are shown. Your recipe's ingredient list shows only shops with a running advert and budget left.

5. The 14-day hold

5.1 Pending. When the order is finished and the shop is charged, your share is pending for 14 days. A pending share cannot be paid out. After the 14 days, if nothing in 5.2 applies, it becomes available.

5.2 Inside the 14 days.

  • A full refund of the order cancels the share. A part refund cuts it in the same proportion; you keep the part not refunded.
  • If the customer reports a problem with the order (a complaint), the share is cancelled, whatever the outcome of the complaint.
  • A chargeback (the customer's bank reverses the card payment) holds the share until the bank decides. If the payment stands, the share goes on and becomes available when the 14 days end, or when the bank decides if that is later. If the bank decides for the customer, the share is cancelled.
  • A bank inquiry that closes without a chargeback changes nothing.
  • A finding of fraud or abuse (4.5) cancels the share.

A complaint or chargeback opened after the 14 days end changes nothing.

5.3 After the 14 days the share is final. BlinkFix does not take back an available share or set anything off against it. A later refund, dispute or chargeback is BlinkFix's cost, not yours. This does not stop BlinkFix from claiming through the courts money you obtained by your own fraud, such as faked clicks or orders.

6. Your Wallet, payouts, currency, statements and tax

6.1 Wallet. Available shares are added to your Wallet as one line for each recipe and day. Fractions of a penny carry over from day to day, so nothing is lost.

6.2 Paying out. You pay out to your Payout account once a day, when at least GBP 0.01 is available. Pending money is never paid out. Stripe must verify your identity first. If you are not verified, or payouts are not available in your country, the money stays in your Wallet. We may withhold a payout where the law, including sanctions law, requires it.

6.3 Currency. Shares are worked out and paid in pounds sterling. A shop may be charged in another currency, but your share is always 20% of the pound price, so exchange rates never change it. If your Payout account holds another currency, Stripe or your bank may convert the money at its own rate and charge its own fees. BlinkFix takes no fee and adds no mark-up. An amount the app shows in another currency is an estimate using European Central Bank reference rates; the currency actually paid is stated.

6.4 Statements. Each Wallet line shows the recipe and the day, and we email a payout statement for each payout. Shares are paid without VAT added.

6.5 Tax. You are responsible for your own taxes and registrations. BlinkFix withholds tax, or reports your earnings to a tax authority, only where the law requires it. We may ask for the details needed (for example a tax number, or a US Form W-9 or W-8) and pause payouts until you give them.

7. Your duties

7.1 Your content. You keep ownership of your recipes, photos, reels and stories. You promise that you have the right to publish them, that they follow the Community Guidelines, and that your ingredient lists are honest. You are responsible for content made with the AI assistant as if you wrote it yourself.

7.2 Licence. You give BlinkFix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, convert, translate, display and share your content to run and promote BlinkFix: inside BlinkFix, and on its own channels (websites, apps, emails and social media) with your name as Creator, but only as your settings allow. Private content is never shown. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others already shared or that we must keep by law.

7.3 Play fair. Do not click your own links, make or ask for fake orders, pay or pressure people to buy, use bots or extra accounts, or ask a shop to do any of this.

7.4 Say so. If you promote your recipe outside BlinkFix, follow the advertising and disclosure laws where you and your audience are (for example the UK CAP Code, the US FTC endorsement rules, and influencer licence rules where they apply), and say clearly when a link earns you money.

7.5 Independent. You are not BlinkFix's employee, agent, commercial agent or partner, and you do not sell or sign for it. If you are also a Channel Partner, those earnings are paid separately under the Channel Partner Terms.

7.6 Reports and take-down. Reels and stories go live at once, unreviewed. A person reviews every report within 24 hours. A reported video gets one automatic look by our AI provider (Google Gemini, paid tier, no training on your data). If it finds something unsafe, the video is taken down and a person restores it or removes it for good, and we tell you why. To appeal, email [email protected] within 6 months with the subject "Appeal"; a different person reviews it and we reply within 14 days. In the EU you may also use an out-of-court body certified under the Digital Services Act, and you can always go to court. A take-down never takes back an available or paid share. It cancels a pending share only if the share came from clicks or orders in 4.5.

8. Data and privacy

8.1 BlinkFix is the controller of your personal data under this agreement: your account, content, the click and order counts used to work out your share, and your payment records. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, who sees it (Stripe checks your identity as a separate controller), transfers outside the UK and EEA, how long we keep it (payment records for 6 years) and your rights. Your name and photo show with your recipes.

8.2 The Data Processing Agreement does not apply here. It applies only where an organisation on BlinkFix Enterprise puts personal data into Enterprise. If you live outside the UK and EEA, for example in the UAE or a US state with a privacy law, email [email protected] and we will answer as the law where you live requires. We do not sell personal data.

9. Term, leaving and forfeiture

9.1 These terms last until ended. You can stop publishing, delete your recipes, and delete your account at any time.

9.2 Deleting your account. Before you delete it, we show what BlinkFix holds for you. You can pay out your available money first, or ask support to close the account and pay it out. Available money is never forfeited. A recipe that stays published as "Deleted user" earns nothing after deletion.

9.3 Suspension. We may suspend or close your account as set out in section 13 of the Terms of Service, including after two years of inactivity and a warning email. Available shares are still paid out. A pending share from clicks or orders in 4.5 is cancelled.

9.4 Sections 4 to 6 (for shares already credited), 8, 10, 11 and 12 (for royalties already worked out) continue after these terms end.

10. Our responsibility to you

10.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for your statutory rights as a consumer, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

10.2 Subject to 10.1, BlinkFix is not liable for loss of profit, income or goodwill or for indirect or consequential loss, and its liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to paying the shares due to you under them.

10.3 You are responsible for loss BlinkFix suffers because your content infringes someone's rights or because you break 7.3.

11. Law, courts and complaints

11.1 Complaints. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Royalty complaint". We acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, you may use an alternative dispute resolution provider, and we will tell you which one.

11.2 England and Wales (the main rule). These terms and any dispute or claim, including non-contractual ones, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except where 11.3 to 11.5 give you more. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also sue in your local courts. There is no arbitration and no class-action waiver.

11.3 EU and EEA. If you live in the EU or EEA and are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protection of your country and may bring a claim in your local courts, and BlinkFix may sue you only there.

11.4 UAE. English law and the courts of England and Wales apply. A judgment may have to be enforced through the UAE courts, and mandatory UAE law applies where it cannot be waived.

11.5 USA. English law and the courts of England and Wales apply. Nothing stops you bringing an individual claim in the small-claims court of the US state where you live.

11.6 A right of your country that cannot be waived by contract applies only as far as the law requires, and the rest of these terms stays in force. If a court decides part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. Nobody except you and us can enforce these terms.

12. Feature inventors

This section is for an Inventor (section 2). If you only publish recipes, reels or stories, it does not apply to you.

12.1 Who is an Inventor. BlinkFix decides, in its sole discretion, whether to name an Inventor, for which feature, and at what percentage. You are an Inventor only for the features BlinkFix names you for, and you earn only from the month your percentage starts (12.3). You need a BlinkFix account, because the royalty is paid into your Wallet. Naming an Inventor is not a promise to build, keep or sell a feature.

12.2 What you earn. Each calendar month, for each feature you are named for, you earn the percentage BlinkFix has set for you (from 0% to 20%, with at most two decimals) of the feature's net income for that month. Net income is what BlinkFix invoiced or was paid for the feature, without VAT or sales tax, after credit notes and charges given back, less what Apple, Google or Stripe kept (counted as 15% for Apple, 15% for Google and 2% for Stripe). Test purchases do not count. Only a feature that earns BlinkFix money counts: a feature that earns nothing pays nothing. The royalty is rounded down to the smallest unit of the currency. A month with no net income pays nothing, and you never owe anything back.

12.3 When a percentage starts or changes. A percentage, or a change to it, counts from the first day of the month after BlinkFix sets it. A percentage of 0% stops the royalty from that month. A month already worked out is never changed. BlinkFix shows your features, percentages and the month each starts in your Wallet in the app.

12.4 Statements and payment. After each month ends, BlinkFix works out the royalty once and writes one statement for each feature and currency, and pays the amount into your Wallet. A royalty is in the currency the income was earned in, and BlinkFix does not convert it. Sections 6.2 (paying out) and 6.5 (tax) apply to royalties too; Stripe or your bank may convert a payout and charge fees. BlinkFix takes no fee from a royalty.

12.5 Final. A statement is final once it is paid into your Wallet. BlinkFix does not take it back. A refund or credit note counts against the month in which it is made, never against a month already worked out.

12.6 The feature and your idea. The feature, its code and its income belong to BlinkFix. You give BlinkFix a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use your idea, and you have no other claim to the feature than the royalty in this section. You must keep BlinkFix's non-public information confidential.

12.7 If you leave. If you delete your account, royalties for months not yet worked out stop, and what is already in your Wallet is paid out as in 9.2. If BlinkFix stops a feature, it tells you, and the royalty on it stops with the feature's income.

12.8 Independent, no promise, limits. Section 7.5 (independent), section 10 (our responsibility) and section 11 (law, courts and complaints) apply to Inventors. BlinkFix promises no feature, no income and no royalty. BlinkFix may change a percentage under 12.3 and these terms under section 13.

13. Changes to these terms

13.1 We may change these terms, including the percentage in 4.1, how a click is counted or how an Inventor's royalty is worked out. We give at least 30 days' notice of a change that affects you, by email and in the app, and the new version takes effect no sooner. We act sooner only where the law or security requires it.

13.2 We ask you to accept the new version on the date it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop publishing and delete your account. A change never applies to a share already credited, a click already charged or a royalty already worked out.
