Poland: fiscal printer or software cash register
In Poland, sales to consumers are recorded on an online cash register that sends its data to the Central Repository of Cash Registers (CRK). A restaurant must have one from its first sale to a consumer. The register is a fiscal printer, or a software cash register confirmed by the Central Office of Measures (GUM).
First of all
- You are the seller, so the fiscal receipt is yours to issue. The receipt BlinkFix gives your customer confirms the payment BlinkFix took in your name; it is not a fiscal receipt.
- Only the owner can set up, change or remove the fiscal connection.
- BlinkFix switches fiscal connections on country by country. Until the app shows your connection as Connected, issue every fiscal receipt yourself, on your own till or system.
What you do
- Get an online cash register and register it with your tax office as the rules ask. Your printer’s dealer or service technician helps with this.
- When the app offers a fiscal printer connection for Poland, set it up in Work › More › Place settings › Fiscal receipts and follow the steps it shows. Until then there is nothing to set up there.
- Check that the status says Connected. Until it does, ring up every order on your register yourself: VAT and receipts › Receipts to issue lists them.
- After the last sale of the day the daily fiscal report is due. Once your printer is connected, BlinkFix asks it for the report; you stay responsible for it.
- Give the customer the receipt on paper. An electronic receipt is allowed only if the customer agrees.
- If a business customer asks for an invoice, issue it as your accountant has set up.
If the app does not offer your software cash register, ring up the orders on it yourself: BlinkFix can connect a vendor’s software register only once it has that vendor’s interface.
Once your connection works
- BlinkFix sends each sale your country’s rule records when you collect the money: when a card payment through BlinkFix succeeds, or when a payment in cash or on your own card terminal is recorded as received (for example when your staff mark the order as paid). A way of paying your country does not record is not sent: your country’s box says which.
- Tips are never on your fiscal receipt. BlinkFix’s service fee is on BlinkFix’s own invoice to the customer, not on your register.
- When an order is cancelled after payment, or you refund it, BlinkFix sends the correction document your country asks for. A refund that BlinkFix pays from its own money does not touch your register.
- Sales from before you connected, or before your country’s rule starts, are not sent: issue those receipts yourself.
- If a receipt fails, BlinkFix tries again and tells you. If it still fails, issue the receipt another way within the time your law allows.
- Each order’s fiscal receipt is in the Fiscal receipts tab of VAT and receipts, with Re-run for one that failed.
- While the app shows your country in test mode, BlinkFix marks every fiscal number as a test and shows none to your customers. Whether your fiscal printer, register software or provider counted a receipt as a real fiscal one depends on its own setup: check with your provider, so that each sale is fiscalised once, neither missed nor twice.
